How To Properly Fit an ErgoMate
Fit issues of ErgoMates need addressing.
- If your ErgoMate is sized too small or too large for your footwear, a proper fit will not be maintained. A poor fit may lead to shifting of your footwear inside the ErgoMate. This may create a clumsy feel, trip hazard or a compromised walking stride and the premature wear of your ErgoMate.
- There should be no space between the ErgoMate and the wearer's footwear. The toe and sides should all be snug to existing footwear. The ErgoMate heel should be fitted snugly around the footwear heel as to lock over top of the lower sole.
- The adjustable rear heel straps should not require overlapping at the center of the ErgoMate heel. If the rear straps are overlapped onto the heel back, this likely indicates the user should be in a smaller sized ErgoMate. If the heel straps are adjusted to the max of the Velcro, the wearer should be using a size larger. The heel strap adjustment to mid way point is the optimum fit.
- The ErgoMate Size Chart provided on the ErgoMate packaging or from Ergos has been extensively tested and is accurate for most footwear.
☼ ErgoMate users will benefit from properly fit ErgoMate products. When wearing a properly fit ErgoMate the feel will be like an extension of existing footwear and should not compromise the utility of the user when standing, walking or working on hard surfaces
Nurse Testimonial
Sun, 27 Jun 2010 21:13:42 -0600 I am a nurse on a busy acute surgical unit. I work full time 8hrs shift so basically I live at the hospital. I am standing or walking most of my work day. I have tried all different types of shoes from A to Z and never experienced the relief that I have had with my ErgoMates. I’ve encouraged all my co-workers and anyone who had asked me about them (which is many different people) to get them for themselves. My feet are the happiest they have been in 9 yrs of nursing. Thank you ErgoMates for making my feet smile. Angela C., Nurse, Grey Nuns, Edmonton, Alberta
